TOY DRIVE-  We will be collecting unused toys in honor of Sullivan Schrader, a first-grader from LCS, who passed away over the weekend from cancer. We will be collecting the toys through Friday, February 16th. All toys are great, but items that are in short supply/high demand are Lego sets, art & crafts supplies, and gifts for teens, including gift cards for Ulta Beauty, Lids, Amazon, Google Play and Apple. Ethnic Barbie dolls, and any other dolls are highly coveted yet often overlooked items. All of the collected items will be donated to Child Life Specialists at Yale Children's Hospital. They are pediatric health care professionals who work with children and families in hospitals and other settings to help them cope with the challenges of hospitalization, illness and disability.

FROM THE NURSE- Please be on the lookout for a letter from our school nurse, Mrs. Maryellen Grace concerning scoliosis screenings which will be done the end of March and April.

GETTYSBURG TRIP- The due date for deposits ($75- checks made out to LMS) as well as all paperwork associated with the trip is past due. At the moment we have an unusually low return rate, and I’m hoping this changes very quickly. Please get these in to ensure your child is able to participate in what will inevitably be a lifetime of memories. If you have not submitted anything, and you have already decided that your child will not participate for any reason, please let us know that as well. Your assistance with these things is greatly appreciated!! Please contact me with any questions.

HIGH SCHOOL SCHEDULING INFORMATION NIGHT- High School Scheduling Information Night for current eighth graders will be held on Thursday, February 22nd  at 6:30 p.m. in the LMS cafeteria. This event will be presented by the LHS Guidance department who will  review the process of registering for courses. All of our students regardless of whether they are planning to LHS or not will be required to register for courses.

LMS YEARBOOK- The LMS yearbooks are now on sale. The cost is $37. You may purchase yearbooks either online on the LMS website or by bringing in a check or cash to Mr. O'Brien or Mr. Allen. Checks must be made out to LMS.
